Jan lives with Astrid in North-Holland, they have two boys, Rick and Mart. In everyday life Jan is working on a school for secondary education.In his spare time, Jan is professionally engaged in nature photography. The knowledge of ICT is in the digital photography a big advantage. The technology in photography has its special interest.Jan has extensive experience in teaching and training courses and workshops since 2006 for "Smitinbeeld. His knowledge and patience are appreciated by the students and the courses are always friendly and satisfactory.
During holidays Jan often travels with his small camper to destinations with a target for something to photograph. Often the whole family but also often with his youngest son Mart who shares his passion for photography. They make many trips, for example, in the north of Scandinavia, Hungary and Scotland. The images created by John and Mart during these trips are used in presentations.
They have a wide range of topics presented with images and sound through a professional projector and laptop.
